Sober Outdoors: Manitou Incline Challenge

📅 Saturday, May 17, 2025
⏰ Meet at the Trailhead at 10:00 AM SHARP
📍 Manitou Incline Trailhead – Manitou Springs, CO

Join us for a sober hike up one of Colorado’s most iconic and challenging outdoor adventures: the Manitou Incline! This event has been highly requested, and we’re excited to finally host it.

This is a steep, intense, but incredibly rewarding hike—climbing 2,768 steps over just under a mile with 2,000 feet of elevation gain! Expect breathtaking views, an epic sense of accomplishment, and a strong sober community by your side.

✅ Registration & Details

📝 Registration is REQUIRED – we’ll be using a timed entry system and hiking together.
🚗 Parking is $15 per car (paid at the lot) – scholarships available if needed.
🤝 Carpooling is encouraged and available through our registration form.
📍 Look for the white Sober Outdoors flag near the trailhead to check in.

Please arrive by 10:00 AM SHARP – we hit the stairs on time.

👯 Guests are welcome and encouraged! Bring a friend, partner, or anyone who could use a good climb and great vibes.

🧭 What to Bring

  • PLENTY of water – this hike is no joke

  • Carb-heavy snacks – energy is key

  • Sunscreen – very little shade on the Incline

  • Weather-appropriate clothing – layers recommended

  • Good hiking shoes – grip and support matter

  • Check the weather before you come – and dress accordingly

  • Leashed dogs are welcome – but please double-check with the City of Manitou Springs for current rules

🌧 Rain or Shine (Mostly)

We’ll hike even if the weather isn’t perfect. Only truly adverse weather (lightning, heavy snow, etc.) will cause a cancellation. Watch your email and our socials for any last-minute updates.
