Scholarship Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Scholarship Policy is to outline the terms and conditions under which Sober Outdoors, Inc. ("Sober Outdoors") provides financial assistance to individuals seeking critically expensive treatment for Substance Use Disorder and Addiction. This policy ensures that all funds are allocated responsibly and used solely for their intended purpose.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be individuals in need of treatment for Substance Use Disorder and Addiction.

  • Demonstrate financial need requiring assistance for critically expensive treatment.

  • Commit to using the funds exclusively for treatment with accredited professionals and organizations.

3. Application Process

Applicants must submit the following:

  • A completed scholarship application form provided by Sober Outdoors.

  • Proof of diagnosis or recommendation for treatment from a qualified healthcare professional.

  • Financial statements or documents demonstrating the need for financial assistance.

  • A detailed treatment plan from an accredited treatment provider.

4. Selection Process

  • Applications will be reviewed by a committee appointed by Sober Outdoors.

  • Selection is based on the severity of need, financial hardship, and commitment to recovery.

  • Sober Outdoors reserves the right to request additional information or conduct interviews.

5. Scholarship Award

  • The amount of the scholarship will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

  • Funds will be disbursed directly to the accredited treatment provider unless otherwise approved in writing by Sober Outdoors.

  • Recipients will be notified in writing of the award details, including any conditions or requirements.

6. Use of Funds

  • Approved Use: Funds must be used exclusively for treatment services provided by accredited treatment professionals and organizations as specified in the recipient's treatment plan.

  • Restricted Use: Any use of funds for purposes other than those approved requires prior written approval from Sober Outdoors.

  • Non-Compliance: Unauthorized use of funds constitutes a breach of this agreement and may result in termination of the scholarship and legal action to recover misused funds.

7. Approval and Monitoring

  • All disbursements of funds must be approved by an authorized representative of Sober Outdoors.

  • Recipients are required to provide periodic reports or updates as requested, confirming the appropriate use of funds.

  • Sober Outdoors reserves the right to audit the use of funds at any time.

8. Compliance and Reporting

  • Recipients must comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the receipt and use of scholarship funds.

  • Any changes in the treatment plan or provider must be reported immediately to Sober Outdoors and are subject to approval.

9. Termination of Scholarship

  • Sober Outdoors reserves the right to terminate the scholarship if the recipient:

    • Provides false or misleading information.

    • Fails to use the funds for the approved purposes.

    • Violates any terms of this policy.

10. Legal Obligations

  • This Scholarship Policy constitutes a legally binding agreement between the recipient and Sober Outdoors.

  • By accepting the scholarship, the recipient agrees to all terms and conditions outlined herein.

  • Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which Sober Outdoors is incorporated.
